About This Project

This renovation project was originally hampered by the fact that the adjoining neighbour of the semi-detached dwelling did not consent to building onto the party/shared wall.

We were able to design a roof at the rear of the cottage that didn’t require us to touch this structure saving the client time, money and removing cause for concern of the neighbour.

Our brief was to bring a 1970’s renovated Victorian Era cottage into the 21st century, and to allow for guest accommodation above the existing garage on the rear lane.

The owners favourite room was the bathroom with the full width and full height window to the shower – it does face a blank wall.

When they sold it recently the realised sale price was far in excess of the owners and agents expectations.
